OpenRoad TMS is a cloud-based transportation management system for asset-based full truckload carriers handling spot and dedicated freight. It brings together load dispatch, driver assignment, weekly planning, driver and equipment management, safety and compliance, settlements, invoicing, reporting, fuel and document workflows. Drivers can use web, iOS and Android applications to receive loads, update statuses, view earnings and mileage, and upload bills of lading or receipts. It is aimed at fleets that want operational, financial and compliance functions in one system rather than separate tools.
The published plans divide the product into Standard, Standard volume pricing and Customize. Standard includes loads and dispatch, planning boards, driver management, truck and trailer management, safety and compliance, accounting and settlements. Standard volume pricing is designated for fleets over 100 tractors. Customize adds advanced visibility and control, Power BI reporting, EDI integrations, the full AI optimization suite and custom integrations. Pricing is based on billed loads rather than users or seats, and the product includes a one-month trial with no credit card required. There is no free plan.
Integration coverage is a central strength. OpenRoad TMS connects with QuickBooks, Sage, RTS Financial, Apex Capital, EFS, Comdata, Relay Payments, Samsara, FourKites, Descartes MacroPoint, project44, PrePass, Bestpass, I-PASS and Trimble MAPS. Its paperless BOL management, fuel-card integration, ETA notifications and fleet analytics extend beyond basic dispatch. Fleets seeking connected workflows across finance, payments, telematics, visibility and toll management should consider it. Teams wanting only a narrow dispatch tool may find its wider operational scope unnecessary, while fleets needing EDI, Power BI or custom integrations should plan for Customize.
