OpenMailBot is an open-source AI email assistant for self-hosters, teams, and enterprises using Gmail or Outlook. Its chatbot searches emails, drafts, attachments, PDFs, and documents; it can also summarize threads, draft replies with attachment context, adapt tone from previously sent messages, and label incoming email. Access is available through web, Windows, macOS, Linux, API, and self-hosted environments.

Deployment and provider choice are central to its fit. OpenMailBot can run on a user's own servers, VPC, or Kubernetes infrastructure, and the Community plan includes built-in ChromaDB and Ollama. The product also supports configurable LLM, embedding, and vector database providers, with integrations including OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Mistral, Cohere, and Pinecone. Slack ingestion brings cross-channel context into the assistant; other listed integrations include Microsoft Teams, Notion, Jira, and Linear. This breadth suits teams that want to shape their AI stack and deployment, rather than adopt only a hosted email add-on.

The Community plan is free and includes the full stack, all AI features, unlimited users and inboxes, and community support on GitHub. Enterprise adds SAML, SSO, SCIM, a dedicated tenant and VPC, audit logging and exports, an on-call solution architect, and priority support. The plan distinction makes the free tier relevant for teams comfortable managing self-hosted infrastructure, while Enterprise is aimed at organizations needing access controls and dedicated support. Choose OpenMailBot for configurable deployment and AI-assisted email work; teams seeking a published Enterprise price or listed automatic sending and follow-up task management should consider alternatives.
