OpenFieldPro is an open-source field-service management application for plumbing and other service businesses. It brings customer, property, equipment, and service-history records together with appointment scheduling, dispatch, work orders, estimates, invoices, payments, booking, service plans, reporting, and technician mobile workflows. Its web, API, and self-hosted components make it a fit for technical teams that want control over the core field-service environment rather than a mandatory per-user subscription model.

The published AGPL core plan is free and self-hostable. It does not limit the core workflow by users, technicians, customers, jobs, invoices, or locations, and includes the main operational capabilities: day, week, and month scheduling; a visual dispatcher board with technician lanes and drag-and-drop reassignment; job-status management; estimates with line items and approvals; invoices and payments; public booking; and customer job intake. Stripe is the listed integration, while backup and restore helpers support the self-hosted operating model.

OpenFieldPro’s breadth is its main appeal, covering office administration, dispatch, field execution, customer intake, billing, and service plans in one project. The technician mobile application is described as a foundation with offline workflows, which may suit teams prepared to evaluate and validate their deployment. The project is in release-candidate hardening, and production deployment still requires its release checklist and validation gates. Choose OpenFieldPro if self-hosting, open-source access, and broad workflow coverage matter most. Teams seeking a completed production release or a wider integration ecosystem should consider an alternative.
