Openbook is a collaborative workspace for teams and whole-company intranets. It combines project boards, documents, chat, dashboards, creative proofing rooms and AI agents with a People Directory that covers reporting lines, employee titles, managers, coworker following, birthdays and CSV export. Organizations looking for a broad employee workspace can use it across web, API and self-hosted deployments, while teams seeking a daily standup-first product may find its wider scope less focused.

The Free plan costs $0 forever and includes all room types, unlimited rooms and members to start, space and room templates, Command-K search and community support. Pro adds an AI assistant with real actions, dashboards and live reporting widgets, proofing rooms, unlimited history and priority support. Business costs $15 per user per month with monthly billing or $12 per user per month with annual billing, adding SSO/SAML, audit logs, API access, advanced permissions, per-room visibility controls and dedicated support. Enterprise adds SCIM provisioning, custom contracts, security review and a dedicated environment. A 30-day trial is available without a credit card.

Openbook's ecosystem is a significant strength for organizations connecting work across GitHub, GitLab, WordPress, Slack, Google Calendar, Cal.com, Calendly, Shopify, Stripe, Salesforce and several helpdesks. Its AI agents can create stories, build changes and open pull requests, extending the workspace toward development management. That breadth suits companies wanting one environment for people information, collaboration and connected operations. Teams that primarily need structured daily check-ins, standup prompts and focused progress reporting should choose a more specialized alternative instead.
