Open as App is a cloud-based no-code platform for turning Excel files, Google Sheets, and other data sources into interactive apps. It is aimed at teams that need customer-facing workflows, internal processes, forms, lists, dashboards, calculations, or field data collection without traditional software development. Apps can be published through links and website embeds, while users can access them on the web, iOS, and Android. Private-app access permissions and user management support controlled business use.

The published plans show a paid structure with a 30-day test license rather than a perpetual free plan. Business costs €75 per month with annual billing or €100 per month with monthly billing. Both options include unlimited published apps, up to 10 users for private apps, data sources up to 1 MB, signature collection and storage, PDF creation without a watermark, and up to three website embeds. The Non-Profit plan includes Business features, unlimited website embeds, data sources up to 5 MB, and OpenID Connect or SAML single sign-on. Enterprise adds REST API access, an integrated app approval process, advanced user management, third-party provider integrations, and MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and PostgreSQL support.

Its standout capability is spreadsheet conversion that preserves calculations and logic while adding interactive interfaces and mobile workflows. Integrations include Excel, CSV, Google Sheets, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, REST API, Zapier, and Microsoft Power Automate. Offline mobile use, emailed PDFs, stored signatures, webhooks, and website embeds extend the platform beyond simple spreadsheet viewing. Choose Open as App if existing spreadsheet logic is central to the workflow and the budget supports a paid plan. Consider an alternative if a perpetual free tier or a built-in database is essential.
