OneLayer is a Minecraft Java Edition world-generation mod for players who want a superflat-style starting point without giving up exploration. It generates a flat world with regular-world biomes and structures, making it suited to players who prefer level terrain but still want to travel through varied environments. It supports Forge and NeoForge and covers the overworld; its stated use is a specialized world type, not a broader overhaul of Minecraft generation.

Generation options can be adjusted through a configuration file, which is also accessible in-game. That gives players control over certain world-generation settings and behaviors rather than locking them into a single flat preset. In singleplayer, OneLayer can be selected as a world-generation type. For server use, configuration goes through server.properties, so server operators should be prepared to handle that setup. The mod is self-hosted and free, with community support.

OneLayer fits players who want flat terrain as a foundation for building or traversal while retaining the biomes and structures associated with a regular world. Forge and NeoForge support make loader choice part of the compatibility decision, and the listed Minecraft versions range from 1.20–1.20.1 through 26.3. Choose another approach if the goal is adding biomes, generating other dimensions, or changing terrain beyond this focused flat-world format. Its scope is intentionally narrower: configurable overworld generation for singleplayer or server worlds.
