OfficeClip Timesheet is a time-tracking and workforce administration product for service businesses, consultants, government contractors, and other organizations that need structured records of employee and project hours. Employees can enter time manually or clock in and out, assigning hours to clients, projects, tasks, and payroll items. Managers can review, reject, approve, and lock submissions, while teams can track time off, accruals, and expenses. Billable and non-billable classifications support both internal workforce reporting and client billing.

The published editions cover several deployment needs. The Free Edition has no user or time limit. Professional and Enterprise editions are available as hosted versions with browser access, or as installed versions designed for on-premise deployment; installed editions are offered as one-time purchases. This gives organizations a choice between cloud access and local control, with support available through phone, email, and chat. Mobile access extends the product to iOS and Android, alongside its web and self-hosted options.

Its strongest functional edge is the path from approved time to financial workflows. Reports cover employee hours, project costs, utilization, billable time, billing, and approval history, and recorded billable hours can be turned into invoices. Exports to QuickBooks, ADP, and CSV connect timesheets with accounting and payroll processes. Organizations seeking a focused timesheet, approval, invoicing, and payroll-export system should find the scope aligned; teams wanting CRM, sales management, client portals, or a wider business-management suite should choose a broader platform instead.

OfficeClip Timesheet pros and cons

  • Where it wins
    • Tracks billable and non-billable hours by client, project, task, or payroll item.
    • Supports manual, automatic, and multi-level approval routing.
    • Exports approved time to QuickBooks, ADP, and CSV workflows.
  • Where it doesn't
    • Does not include CRM, sales, or client portal capabilities.
    • Hosted and installed editions create separate deployment choices to manage.
    • Its focus is time, billing, and payroll rather than broader management functions.
