Our verdict on Naver Mail

Naver Mail is a free personal email service for NAVER account holders, with web and mobile-app access. It suits people who need to send large files without paying for a mailbox plan: attachments can reach 2 GB per file, with up to 10 files in a message. The inbox includes 5 GB of storage by default, and capacity can rise to a stated total of 30 GB by transferring capacity from NAVER MYBOX. The service is available on web, iOS, Android, Windows, and macOS through web access, mobile apps, or external mail clients.

Its standout strength is the combination of large attachments and organization controls. Automatic classification rules and Smart Mailbox categories separate promotions, billing, social mail, and cafes. Spam filtering is complemented by keyword blocking and sender allow/block controls. Signatures, quick replies, vacation settings, and new-mail notifications cover routine personal-mail tasks. External mail import can bring mail from other accounts, while POP3/SMTP and IMAP/SMTP support lets users connect programs such as Outlook and smartphone mail apps. This makes Naver Mail a fit for people who want to manage mail across clients as well as in NAVER’s own interface.

Storage is the main constraint to weigh: the default is 5 GB, and expansion depends on transferring NAVER MYBOX capacity, rather than a paid mailbox-capacity addition. The published offering is free, with no separate paid personal mailbox plan described. Naver Mail also does not support aliases, and its named integrations are focused on NAVER MYBOX and external mail clients rather than a broad app ecosystem. Choose it if large attachments, automatic sorting, and standard mail protocols matter more than aliases or extensive integrations; consider another service if those are central to your choice.
