MyCompany Manufacturing ERP is a free, open-source, self-hosted ERP for small manufacturers and organizations that want to manage manufacturing, inventory, purchasing, sales, accounting, CRM, and projects on their own infrastructure. Its manufacturing coverage includes multi-level bills of materials, nested assemblies, manufacturing orders, work centers, material reservations, inventory consumption, finished-goods posting, disassembly, scrap, by-products, lot or serial tracking, and actual manufacturing cost calculation. It also supports manufacturing orders created from sales orders and spreadsheet import and export for BOM data.

The published pricing model is straightforward: the software is free under Apache 2.0, with no paid software plans. Infrastructure, implementation, and support may incur separate costs. That makes MyCompany a fit for teams that prefer self-hosting and want to avoid per-user licensing, but the total ownership effort depends on how much deployment, customization, and operational support the organization handles itself. Web, Windows, and Linux availability gives teams several deployment options, while integrations with Inventory, Sales, Purchase, and Autodesk Platform Services connect manufacturing to adjacent workflows.

For production operations, the strongest case is its breadth: material availability checks, reservations, planned and actual quantities, work orders, consumption, finished-goods receipt, costing, unbuild orders, and traceability are handled within one ERP structure. Revision control is listed, but the detailed manufacturing functions do not establish revision comparison or change workflows, so teams with demanding engineering-change processes should evaluate alternatives focused on controlled BOM revisions. Choose MyCompany for core manufacturing and inventory management under self-hosted control; look elsewhere if advanced revision governance is central to the buying decision.

MyCompany Manufacturing ERP pros and cons

  • Where it wins
    • Multi-level BOMs support nested assemblies and subassemblies
    • Inventory-linked production covers reservations, consumption, and finished goods
    • Free, open-source deployment across web, Windows, and Linux
  • Where it doesn't
    • Revision comparison and change workflows are not part of the detailed feature set
    • Self-hosting can require separate infrastructure and implementation work
    • Its broad ERP scope may exceed the needs of BOM-only teams
