MotionDSP Forensic review
Feature-rich local video enhancement for Windows-based forensic workflows.

MotionDSP Forensic is a local desktop application for enhancing low-quality video evidence. It is designed for law enforcement, defense, healthcare, investigations, surveillance, and intelligence workflows that need configurable processing on a local Windows computer. Its feature set addresses common footage problems including low resolution, motion blur, poor lighting, camera shake, noise, and compression. Face and license-plate detail enhancement workflows, region-of-interest controls, and activity reporting make it suited to evidence-focused review rather than general-purpose video editing.
Its standout capability is the combination of multi-frame super-resolution upscaling up to 4x with targeted enhancement filters. Users can apply denoising, deblurring, motion deblurring, compression-artifact reduction, lighting and contrast adjustments, sharpening, stabilization, and deinterlacing. The enhancement preview bar, preset profiles, and original-versus-enhanced comparison support a review-oriented workflow. GPU-accelerated local processing keeps the product focused on desktop-based handling, while exports can include enhanced still images, clips, and full-length video.
Pricing is per license. The Forensic plan costs $274 per license monthly and includes the enhancement filters, preview tools, preset profiles, comparison view, region-of-interest enhancement, and exports. Annual billing costs $3124 per license and adds extended customer support. The product is a strong fit for forensic teams that need local processing and specialized evidence enhancement on Windows. Teams requiring another operating system, a free plan, or a lower-cost entry point should look elsewhere. A free personalized demo is available, but it is presented separately from product access.
