Moonlight Web review
A free, open-source browser client for high-resolution PC game streaming.

Moonlight Web is a self-hosted game-streaming client and host for people who want to play PC games through a modern browser. The installed host runs on Windows, Linux, or macOS, while clients can connect from a browser on a PC, Mac, tablet, phone, or TV. It supports keyboard, mouse, touch, and Xbox or PlayStation gamepad input, making it suitable for local play across several device types.
The project is free and open source under GPL-3.0, with no paid plans. Its browser client is accessed through the self-hosted desktop or server installation rather than a hosted subscription. Moonlight Web can capture and encode the host computer's display directly, or pair with Sunshine, Apollo, Wolf, and MultiSeat. That flexibility makes it a practical fit for users who already manage a compatible game-streaming host and want browser access without adding a paid service.
Video configuration is a central strength. Moonlight Web supports H.264, HEVC, and AV1, streaming up to 4K HDR, and configurable streaming up to 240 FPS. Browser-side GPU upscaling and sharpening add further control, while optional session sharing allows up to three additional people to join. Choose Moonlight Web if you want open-source, browser-based access with broad input support and advanced video options. It is less suitable for anyone seeking a managed service with a ready-to-use hosted setup.
