MoodTrue review
A broad mood-discovery tool for listeners across five major music services.

MoodTrue is a music discovery and playlist platform built around moods, moments, scenes, listening habits, and images. Its AI Mood Search turns written descriptions into playlists from a connected music library, while MoodLens recommends songs from images and MoodZap adds swipe-based discovery. The product is aimed at listeners who want to explore music by feeling or context rather than by manually searching for individual tracks. Web, iOS, and Android access also make it suitable for people who move between desktop and mobile listening.
Its strongest practical advantage is ecosystem breadth. MoodTrue connects with Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Deezer, and Tidal, giving multi-service users a wider path into AI-assisted discovery. The feature set extends beyond playlist generation: an AI DJ provides personalized transitions, listening and mood analytics surface patterns, and social mood notifications, songs, and messages add a sharing layer. Mood Map offers a view of global mood signals, while MoodLens and MoodZap provide distinct ways to start finding music. Together, these tools position MoodTrue as a mood exploration product rather than a single-purpose playlist generator.
The published monthly plans are Free at $0, Premium at $3.99, and Pro at $6.99. MoodTrue’s main trade-off is control: playlist editing is not included, so listeners who want to fine-tune generated playlists may prefer a tool centered on manual curation. It is also a wide product, spanning discovery, social features, analytics, and an AI DJ; users seeking only a simple prompt-to-playlist workflow may find that scope unnecessary. Choose MoodTrue for mood-led discovery across multiple services, and look elsewhere if editing playlists is essential.
