Our verdict on MonitorEDU
MonitorEDU provides online proctoring for educational institutions, certification and licensure programs, testing companies, and LMS providers. Its core service combines live human proctoring with webcam, mobile-camera, and screen-sharing monitoring. Organizations can also use government-issued photo ID verification, browser-locking technologies where applicable, audio and video recording, screen recording, two-camera proctoring, and accessibility accommodations. Web, iOS, and Android support gives test takers multiple access options, while 24/7 on-demand testing fits programs that need testing availability beyond scheduled business hours.
Pricing is custom rather than organized into published self-serve plans. Organizations work with MonitorEDU for pricing and implementation support, which may suit institutions with varied exam volumes or operational requirements but gives buyers less immediate visibility into tier-by-tier costs. The platform connects with Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Paradigm KNOCK, Invigil, ROGO, Sumadi, and Exams for Zoom, supporting exam workflows across several delivery environments. Browser locking and identity verification add controls for assessments that require stricter test conditions.
MonitorEDU is a strong fit for organizations that prioritize live human oversight, continuous availability, identity checks, and accommodations over automated monitoring. The service is less suited to buyers seeking AI-led review, transparent plan pricing, or a narrowly defined retention policy: its published privacy and terms pages describe retention of up to 90 days and 120 days unless otherwise agreed. Choose MonitorEDU when human intervention and flexible monitoring methods matter most; consider alternatives when automation or simple, publicly listed pricing is the primary requirement.
