MonFax review
A strong fit for receiving unlimited faxes by email, with web sending and paid outbound credits.

MonFax is an online fax service for individuals and businesses that need faxing without dedicated hardware. It supports incoming and outgoing fax workflows through email and a web interface. Users can receive unlimited faxes as PDF attachments, upload documents for web sending, or send faxes by email. A client space organizes received and sent faxes, while forwarding, printing, deletion and archiving support routine document handling. Fax numbers are available in multiple countries, and existing fax numbers can be ported.
The freemium structure makes MonFax particularly suited to users whose main requirement is receiving faxes. The Free number plan includes unlimited incoming fax reception and supports up to 10 email addresses. Outgoing faxes require purchased credits. The Local number plan costs €29.88 per year with annual billing and adds a local fax number, unlimited fax reception and an online fax archival option; outgoing faxes remain credit-based. The published plans therefore separate inbound use from outbound volume, which suits occasional senders but may be less suitable for organizations that send many pages regularly.
Email is the central integration, and the platform is web-only. Alongside email delivery and sending, MonFax offers digital signatures and downloadable transmission verification reports, useful when fax records or confirmation matter. Number porting can also help businesses retain an existing fax identity. Choose MonFax if email-based receipt, a free fax number and straightforward web access are the priorities. Consider an alternative if you need a broader integration ecosystem, a native desktop or mobile platform, or outbound faxing bundled into a fixed allowance rather than purchased credits.
