ModGUI review
A free, open-source moderation GUI with investigations, reports, logs, and anticheat integration.

ModGUI is an open-source moderation plugin for Paper Minecraft servers, aimed at staff teams that want in-game tools for punishments, investigations, reports, and player records. Its configurable click-to-punish GUI issues console commands, while the investigation GUI brings player-related moderation information into one interface. Staff can receive player reports through /report, attach notes to players, and use a recovery compass as a staff tool. The plugin is distributed under the MIT License and is self-hosted on the server.
Its strongest fit is an ecosystem built around established Minecraft server plugins. Punishment actions can work with LiteBans, AdvancedBan, and EssentialsX because ModGUI sends configurable console commands. Permissions can be configured alongside LuckPerms, and Discord webhook logging provides an external channel for moderation events. GrimAC integration adds anticheat flag tracking to player investigations, making the investigation workflow more useful for servers that already use that anticheat. Configuration also covers commands, messages, permissions, and webhooks.
ModGUI is a focused choice for Paper administrators who prefer a GUI-led moderation workflow rather than a separate web panel. The published requirements specify Paper 1.21.11 or newer, so server compatibility should be checked before installation. It suits teams that need punishment controls, report handling, staff notes, audit-oriented logs, and anticheat context in game. Servers seeking AI features, a broader multi-platform deployment model, or moderation outside a Paper server should choose a different type of tool.
