Our verdict on MobyMax
MobyMax is a cloud-based K–8 curriculum and assessment platform for families, teachers, tutors, schools, and districts. Its subject coverage includes mathematics, language arts, reading, science, social studies, writing, early reading, and phonics. The platform combines adaptive learning with standards-aligned instruction, placement tests, skill diagnostics, formative and summative assessments, interactive lessons, games, class rewards, and detailed reporting. It is suited to organizations seeking broad elementary and middle-school coverage rather than a single-subject tool.
Pricing spans individual and institutional use. The Free plan provides a free educator version with limited access compared with licensed features. The Family plan costs $7.99 per month and includes K–8 subjects, adaptive learning, assessments, and detailed reporting. A 30-day full-feature access period is also described. For schools, the MAX Schoolwide License costs $4,795 per school per year and adds unlimited teachers and students, a full K–8 all-subject curriculum, assessments, progress monitoring, interactive lessons, and game-based curriculum. The MAX Districtwide License includes unlimited teachers and students, district-wide licensing, and the full K–8 curriculum, with pricing requiring a quote.
MobyMax also fits school environments that need administrative workflows and broad device coverage. Teachers can assign skills, monitor progress, review student and class reports, and use automatic rostering and SSO. Supported integrations include Clever, ClassLink, Google Classroom, and Clever Library. The platform runs on the web, Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android, but offline access is not available. Families and K–8 schools should consider MobyMax when adaptive, all-subject coverage and built-in assessment matter; buyers needing offline learning or clearly defined district pricing should look elsewhere.
