Mise Shift Scheduler review
A scheduling and labor planning tool, not a recipe management system.

Mise Shift Scheduler is a web-based restaurant scheduling module for operators who need to align staffing with forecasted demand. It forecasts covers from reservations, historical covers, and weather, then suggests schedules around expected demand. Managers can collect availability and time-off requests, publish schedules with instant staff notifications, and support in-app shift trades. The product is designed for restaurants focused on scheduling, labor planning, and operational rules rather than recipe creation or recipe control.
The published plan is straightforward: Shift Scheduler costs $39 USD per restaurant location per month, billed monthly. There is no free plan. The plan includes demand-driven scheduling, cover forecasting, availability and time-off requests, staff notifications, in-app shift trades, and projected labor cost previews. Managers can also configure break enforcement, overtime triggers, and seniority rules before publishing schedules. Scheduled hours flow to Mise Payroll, while Mise Fine Dining POS supports labor reconciliation and Mise Books supports labor-cost posting.
Its main limitation is scope. Mise Shift Scheduler addresses labor forecasting, schedule creation, cost visibility, payroll flow, POS-related labor reconciliation, and compliance-oriented scheduling rules, but it is not a recipe management product. Restaurants seeking ingredient-based recipes, preparation documentation, or recipe organization should choose a purpose-built alternative. The module is also labeled beta, and no attendance or time-clock capability is included in its stated feature set. Choose it when staffing demand and labor costs are the priority; skip it when recipe management is the central requirement.
