Our verdict on Mint Launcher
Mint Launcher is Xiaomi’s free Android home-screen launcher for people who want a more organized screen without paying for a launcher. It offers customizable layouts, resizable icons, third-party app icons, and selectable transition effects. The app drawer automatically categorizes apps, while search and smart suggestions help users find apps. It also supports hiding icons and moving, grouping, or uninstalling multiple apps, giving it a practical focus on everyday home-screen and app management.
Its strongest fit is straightforward organization rather than deep personalization. Automatic categorization, quick search, and batch app management give the drawer useful structure, while layout and icon options allow some visual adjustment. The feature set does not extend as far into backup, gestures, or advanced customization, so users who want those controls may be better served by a launcher with more extensive configuration options. Xiaomi’s Google Play listing points users seeking additional customization to POCO Launcher.
Mint Launcher is free and listed for Android, but device compatibility is a material consideration: the Google Play listing says it is available only on some devices. That limitation may rule it out before its feature set becomes relevant. The same listing shows a last update of August 4, 2020, which gives buyers a reason to weigh its maintenance history when choosing a launcher. Pick Mint Launcher if a free, simple app drawer and modest home-screen adjustments meet your needs; choose an alternative if broad device availability or deeper customization is central.
