Our verdict on MindLabs
MindLabs is a STEM learning platform for elementary and middle school learners, with content designed primarily for grades 3–5 and expanding through grade 8. It serves classrooms, schools, homeschool families, museums, libraries, and after-school programs. The product combines augmented-reality science experiences using physical card decks with virtual circuits, forces-and-motion simulations, guided lessons, presentation slides, lesson plans, and engineering design challenges. Students can document ideas and reflections in a digital notebook, while educators can manage assignments, provide feedback, and review progress through dashboards and learning insights.
Its strongest fit is for programs that want science instruction to connect digital interaction with structured project work. Topics include energy and circuits, forces and motion, light and sound, and habitats and adaptations. Collaboration tools add discussions, peer feedback, and SEL check-ins, giving teachers options beyond individual simulation activities. The combination is broader than a single-topic lab tool, but the AR component is tied to physical card decks, so it suits classrooms prepared to incorporate that format into instruction. MindLabs runs on the web, iOS, and Android, with support for iPhones, Android smartphones, iPads, and Android tablets. Clever integration is available as a pilot.
The published plans show a free option and one-time storefront pricing for paid offerings. CoLabs+ Digital Notebook is listed at $39 and includes the notebook, teacher dashboard, and collaboration and SEL tools. Energy & Circuits is $59 with a virtual circuits lab, AR card deck, guided lessons, and engineering challenges. The $109 Power Bundle adds Energy & Circuits, Forces & Motion, interactive simulations, and the CoLabs+ notebook. Digital Renewal is listed at $149 with 1-, 2-, and 3-year length options. Choose MindLabs for AR-supported, multi-subject science projects with educator oversight; choose an alternative if you need mature Clever connectivity or content centered outside its primary grade range.
