Microsoft Outlook Calendar is the calendar and scheduling component of Outlook, designed for personal users, organizations, and teams. It covers appointments, recurring events, meeting invitations, reminders, free/busy planning, shared calendars, group calendars, and calendar overlays. It is a strong match for individuals and organizations centered on Microsoft accounts, Outlook email, Teams, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365, while remaining accessible through web, Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android apps.

The free Microsoft account provides web and mobile Outlook access with 5 GB of cloud storage, plus core calendar functions such as recurring events, sharing permissions, free/busy meeting planning, external iCalendar subscriptions, and multiple-calendar views. Microsoft 365 Business Basic adds custom business email, web and mobile Outlook, and 1 TB of cloud storage per user. Microsoft 365 Personal adds the desktop Outlook app, use across PCs, Macs, phones, and tablets, and 1 TB of cloud storage. Personal booking pages are available through Personal Bookings or Bookings with me, with separate licensing requirements.

Its ecosystem is the main reason to choose it. Outlook Calendar can add online meeting details from Teams and supported providers, and it connects with Microsoft Bookings, Google Calendar, Zoom, Cisco Webex, GoTo, Google Meet, and JioMeet. Two-way calendar sync, shared and delegated permissions, and scheduling links support both personal coordination and team workflows. However, users who only need a lightweight standalone calendar may find the Microsoft account and subscription structure more than they need. Choose Outlook Calendar for Microsoft-centered scheduling and collaboration; consider a narrower calendar tool if you do not need its broader platform connections.
