Met Office Weather Forecast review
A free Android weather app with detailed local forecasts and a UK outlook up to 28 days.

For Android users who want local forecasts alongside a longer-range view, Met Office Weather Forecast brings the UK national weather service’s forecasts and warnings to a mobile app. It supports saved locations, hourly and daily forecasts, interactive maps, severe-weather alerts, home-screen widgets, and specialist mountain and beach forecasts. The refreshed app supports Android 7 and later, and it is also available on iOS.
The forecast range needs a little context: the app provides forecasts up to 7 days ahead, while the UK long-range outlook extends up to 4 weeks. That distinction makes the 28-day horizon useful for broad planning, but it should not be read as four weeks of detailed daily forecasts. Maps cover rain, cloud, temperature and warnings, while forecast details include UV, pollen, humidity, visibility and air pollution. Video forecasts and hourly and daily widgets add further ways to check conditions.
The app is free with ads, and an in-app purchase removes them; according to the Google Play listing, the ad-removal option costs £7.99 a year. This keeps the main forecast and warning features accessible without a subscription, while giving users an ad-free choice. Pick it if you value weather detail, warnings and a UK long-range outlook in one app. It may be less suitable if you need a 28-day day-by-day forecast or want to avoid ads without paying.
