Media.io AI Photo Restorer is a browser-based tool for repairing and enhancing old or damaged photographs. It targets creators, families, photo archivists, and anyone who wants an online restoration workflow without installing desktop software. Users upload a photo, choose restoration or enhancement, preview the result, and download the processed image. Its feature set covers scratch, crease, dust-mark, surface-damage, fading, yellowing, discoloration, blur, facial detail, colorization, and image upscaling.
Pricing is structured around a free three-day trial and broader Media.io plans. The Free Trial includes three daily check-in credits, processing for up to one image, 720p exports, and exports with a watermark. The Standard plan adds fast generation speed, 20GB of cloud storage, 1080p exports without a watermark, and 60 subtitle minutes per month. Premium raises generation speed to turbo, storage to 50GB, subtitle minutes to 120 per month, and includes a 15% discount on extra credits. Pay As You Go credits remain valid for two years and work across AI tools, while the Monthly Credit Plan automatically renews and also works across AI tools.
The main appeal is breadth within photo restoration: users can address physical damage, age-related color changes, unclear detail, faces, and image size in one workflow. The browser upload, preview, and download process also keeps the product accessible for straightforward jobs. Platform coverage is limited to web and Android, so users seeking a desktop application or another mobile platform should look elsewhere. The product is a sensible fit for occasional restoration and simple enhancement; users needing broader platform support or a workflow centered on desktop software should consider an alternative.
