Marji review
A focused, low-cost tool for recipe costing, menu pricing, and QR menus.

Marji is web-based restaurant food cost and margin software for independent restaurants, cafés, and bakeries. It is designed for businesses operating one to five locations that want to connect supplier invoices with recipe costs, identify dishes affected by ingredient price changes, and manage a hosted QR menu. The product focuses on food-cost visibility and menu pricing rather than full inventory operations.
Pricing is structured around location-based monthly plans. QR Menu is free and includes a hosted QR menu, live price edits, sold-out controls, printable table tents, and CSV data export. Single costs $59 per location per month and adds supplier invoice scanning, ingredient costs, recipe costing, margin alerts, pricing suggestions, and AI recipe drafts. Operator costs $149 per location per month and adds supplier price comparison and Competitor Watch; its Square price write-back is built but unavailable, and the plan is invite-only. Group uses custom pricing for multi-location operators. A 14-day free trial is also offered.
Marji’s standout workflow is the connection between supplier pricing and dish economics. Operators can scan invoice photos or PDFs, review ingredient matches, scan menu photos, generate AI recipe drafts for uncosted dishes, and receive alerts when margins change. That makes it a practical fit for teams prioritizing recipe costing and pricing decisions. It is less suitable for operators seeking inventory counting, waste tracking, purchase orders, sales ingestion, or an available POS connection. The product runs on the web, and CSV export supports menu and cost data portability.
