Mapify is an AI mind-mapping application from the Xmind team for turning source material into structured maps. It supports PDFs, office documents, webpages, long text, video links, YouTube videos, audio files, and speech. The product suits students, researchers, planners, and anyone organizing information from mixed media. Generated maps can be edited with drag-and-drop controls and stepwise generation, while AI chat can query, modify, and expand map content. Translation across more than 30 languages and presentation mode extend its use beyond initial summarization.
The plan structure scales source access and AI capacity. Free includes 30 one-time AI credits, five PDF/document conversions, five YouTube-video conversions, Prompt/Markdown-to-mind-map, and mind-map editing. Basic costs $9.99 per user per month or $72 per user per year, with 500 AI credits per month, web and long-text conversion, video-link conversion, PDF/document conversion up to 10 MB, and PDF, Markdown, and SVG export. Pro costs $19.99 monthly or $144 yearly and adds 1,000 credits, custom summary instructions, input up to 1 million characters, document conversion up to 50 MB, and audio and video file conversion. Unlimited costs $29.99 monthly or $216 yearly, adding unlimited credits, unlimited summary length, a member community, and priority support.
Mapify’s strongest distinction is breadth: it converts several media types into maps rather than focusing only on text or documents. Its export options include SVG, Xmind, PDF, and Markdown, and it is available on web, iOS, and macOS. That makes it a fit for individual study, research, planning, and content organization across Apple platforms. Buyers needing image-to-map workflows should look elsewhere for now, as that capability is coming soon. Teams that require verified integrations or simultaneous multi-user editing should also choose an alternative. Mapify is the better choice for source conversion and personal map refinement than collaborative workspace management.
