Majik's Music Studio is a free, open-source AI music-generation application for creators who want more than prompt-to-song output. It generates songs with vocals, instruments, and lyrics, then provides tools for continuation, genre variation, stem separation, mixing, analysis, synced lyrics, and local library management. The product is available through a browser studio and desktop applications for macOS and Linux, with Windows support coming soon. iOS availability is still in App Store review.

The published Free plan includes unlimited AI music generation, stem separation, WAV, FLAC, MP3, and M4A export, and local processing by default. There is no subscription requirement. The application can also connect to remote GPU servers when preferred, while the local-first approach suits creators who want their music workflows organized on their own computers. Commercial use is listed among the category capabilities, and the product includes audio import for analysis of BPM, key, chords, and structure.

Its main distinction is breadth: one application covers reference-track upload for cover and style transfer, batch generation with background processing, vocal and instrumental stems, a mixer with EQ, compressor, limiter, reverb, saturator, and chorus, plus synced lyrics with LRC export. Local library tools add metadata, artwork, albums, and tags, while MCP integration supports programmatic music and library workflows through Claude Code MCP. Choose it if free desktop access, open-source software, local processing, and a wide creative toolkit matter most. Choose another option if Windows or iOS access is essential today, or if your workflow depends on a different platform ecosystem.
