Maildrop review
A free public inbox service with lightweight GraphQL access for one-off messages.

Maildrop is a free disposable email service for receiving messages without signup or use of a personal address. It suits solo users and small teams that need a temporary inbox for one-off verification messages, email testing, or other lightweight receiving tasks. Users can create an address at the maildrop.cc domain and view its inbox through the web. Maildrop is also available through an API, but its public design makes it unsuitable for private correspondence or sensitive messages.
The product’s main point of depth is its GraphQL API. Developers can retrieve mailbox listings and individual messages, while the API also supports message deletion. Web access provides public inbox viewing without passwords, and spam filtering plus greylisting help manage incoming mail. The published feature set is focused on receiving and retrieving messages rather than sending email, managing identities, or supporting richer mailbox workflows. Automatic clearing after 24 hours without a received message also reinforces its temporary-use model.
Maildrop’s free pricing model keeps access straightforward: the service is available without a paid tier or signup requirement. Each inbox supports a maximum of 10 messages, and messages or inboxes may be deleted earlier during periods of high usage. Inboxes are intentionally public, and attachment support is not available. Choose Maildrop for disposable addresses, basic browser access, and programmatic retrieval of short-lived messages. Choose an alternative when privacy, attachments, longer retention, or a larger mailbox is important.
