MailArchiva is email archiving, eDiscovery, compliance and forensics software for organizations and their compliance, legal and IT teams. It archives messages from services and mail servers, then provides searchable records, retention policies, message holds, investigation tools and export options. Teams can use it as a hosted cloud service or install it on Windows or Linux servers. The free plan makes it relevant to organizations seeking broad archive capabilities without starting with a paid subscription.

Pricing is offered through two deployment models. MailArchiva Cloud provides unlimited archive storage, 10-year retention and technical support, with annual billing per mailbox. MailArchiva On-Premise uses a perpetual per-mailbox license for installation on a Windows or Linux server, with optional annual support after the first year. A 30-day free trial is also available. Integration coverage includes Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Microsoft Exchange, Zimbra Collaboration Suite, Kerio Connect, SmarterMail, MDaemon, IBM Lotus Domino, Postfix and Sendmail, giving it a wide fit across hosted and server-based mail environments.

Its strongest area is investigation and control. Advanced search includes a query builder and query language, while eDiscovery searches, search reports, journal-envelope indexing, attachment-content searching, audit trails and tamper-proof archive protection support compliance and legal workflows. Exports include PST, MSG, PDF, TIFF, CSV, EML and MBOX, and mailbox, folder, calendar and contact synchronization extends access beyond message storage. Two-factor authentication, AES-256 encryption and REST API access add administrative depth. Organizations needing retention, legal holds and varied exports should consider MailArchiva; teams wanting only basic mailbox backup may find its compliance and investigation features more than they need.
