Macropay is a merchant-of-record platform for AI-native and digital businesses, including software companies, digital-product sellers, and platforms. It becomes the legal seller, manages global tax registration, filing, collection, and remittance, and settles merchant funds globally. The product combines subscription billing, usage-based billing, checkout, digital delivery, license-key management, dispute handling, payouts, and revenue analytics. Web, iOS, and API access support customer-facing and programmatic implementations.
Pricing is usage-based rather than seat-based. The All-in plan is listed at $0.50 per successful transaction, with pricing notes specifying 4.5% plus $0.50 per successful transaction. It includes merchant-of-record services, global tax registration and filing, FX and local payment methods, usage metering, and margin telemetry. The Volume & Enterprise plan adds an interchange-plus pricing option, custom dispute terms, a dedicated solutions engineer, and custom payouts and SLAs. There is no free plan, so the cost model fits businesses that are ready to process paid transactions rather than teams seeking a no-cost trial tier.
Macropay’s strongest fit is complex billing across international markets. Subscriptions support proration, dunning, retries, and hybrid base-plus-usage plans, while event metering includes exactly-once deduplication. Hosted and embeddable checkout supports cards, wallets, and regional payment rails. The platform also handles license issuance, validation, and revocation, dispute evidence assembly, chargebacks, sanctions screening, and analytics for revenue, margin, LTV, and cohorts. Integrations include Stripe, Paddle, Lemon Squeezy, Snowflake, and BigQuery. Choose Macropay when tax obligations, usage billing, digital delivery, and international payouts need to sit together; simpler sellers may find this breadth and transaction pricing unnecessary.
