Lytx DriveCam is a commercial fleet dash-camera and video-telematics solution for organizations that need video evidence, driver-risk detection and structured incident follow-up. Its dual wide-angle interior and exterior cameras capture vehicle activity while machine vision and AI identify risky driving behaviors. The system is positioned for trucking, distribution, transit, field services, utilities, government and retail fleets, with GPS and ECM connectivity, driver badge identification, manual event recording and visual and audio in-cab alerts.
Retention and investigation are central strengths. DriveCam supports up to 400 hours of continual video storage, alongside near-real-time live video streaming, video search and incident investigation tools. Fleet managers can review events and use driver coaching workflows to address behavior after an incident or detected risk. That combination fits fleets that need more than basic recording, particularly when preserving a larger volume of footage is important. The stated capacity is measured in hours, making it useful for comparing storage volume without assuming a specific number of retention days.
Pricing starts at $26 per vehicle per month for the Purchase Plan, which includes the Lytx SF400 VEDR and installation. The Lease Plan is $36 per vehicle per month and also includes the Lytx SF400 VEDR and installation. Both plans require a subscription term, and there is no free plan. DriveCam connects with Fleetio, Geotab, FleetWave, Workday, FleetHD, SambaSafety and Route4Me, and provides API access. Fleets should choose it when AI-assisted risk detection, video investigation, coaching and extended storage outweigh the need for broad native platform coverage or non-proprietary hardware.
