Lynx.emu review
A focused Lynx emulator with broad controller support and save states.

Lynx.emu is an open-source Atari Lynx emulator for Android and Linux, based on Mednafen/Handy. It is aimed at players who want to run Lynx ROMs with configurable controls and support for physical input devices. The emulator loads .lnx files directly and can open ROMs stored in ZIP, RAR, or 7Z archives. Its scope is deliberately narrow: this is a Lynx-focused emulator rather than a multi-system Atari package.
Input flexibility is one of its clearest strengths. On-screen controls can be configured, while Bluetooth and USB gamepads, keyboards, and other HID devices are supported. That gives Android users several ways to play, including setups that move beyond touch controls. Android storage-access support also covers internal and external storage, and the Linux builds extend the same core emulator focus to desktop use. Low-latency audio and video focus are included among the published features.
Save-state support adds practical flexibility through both manual and autosave states. The main trade-off is breadth: Lynx.emu does not provide netplay and does not cover other Atari systems. It also has a paid-only model rather than a free plan. Choose it if Atari Lynx emulation, archive loading, configurable controls, and wide input support are the priorities. Consider another emulator if free access, online multiplayer, or broader Atari system coverage matters more.
