Lunch Flow Platform API review
A low-cost API for normalized bank and investment data with scheduled refreshes.
Reviewed by iTechGuides Editors · Editorial team · Updated Oct 2026
Lunch Flow Platform API connects fintech applications to bank and brokerage accounts through OAuth, then provides normalized accounts, transactions, balances, and investment holdings through a REST API. It is aimed at developers and teams building financial applications, dashboards, automations, and integrations across multiple countries and account types. The API supports multi-asset data, transaction enrichment, user registration, token refresh, merchant and transaction-description configuration, and API-key authentication for the Personal API.
Pricing is split between individual connectivity and a developer/team offering. The Individual plan costs $5.49 per month when billed monthly, or $34.99 per year when billed annually, equivalent to $2.92 per month. Both individual options include automatic daily syncs and unlimited destinations, and a seven-day trial is available. The Developers & teams plan includes a RESTful API with an OAuth connect flow, banks and investments in one schema, and dedicated support; its published price is custom. This structure makes the individual plans a clear fit for personal aggregation, while teams should evaluate the custom plan around their application requirements.
The platform’s strongest technical advantage is consolidation: connections can route through GoCardless, Finicity, MX, Finverse, Pluggy, Akahu, or SnapTrade while applications work with a unified schema. Integrations also include Lunch Money, YNAB, Actual Budget, Google Sheets, and MCP. That breadth suits products that need both banking and investment data without maintaining separate provider-specific models. The trade-off is API depth: refreshes are scheduled, and the connectivity is read-only, so products needing real-time event delivery or write actions should consider a different approach. Lunch Flow is a sensible choice for low-cost, multi-asset aggregation; it is less suitable for workflows built around live webhooks or account modification.
