LunarNX review
A free, open-source Switch client for Xbox and PlayStation remote play.

LunarNX is an unofficial, open-source game-streaming client for modified Nintendo Switch consoles. It brings Xbox Remote Play from Xbox One and Xbox Series consoles, Xbox Cloud Gaming library browsing and playback, and PlayStation Remote Play from PS4 and PS5 consoles to the Switch. It is aimed at Nintendo Switch users who want one client for both Xbox and PlayStation streaming, provided their console supports homebrew.
Its feature set covers more than basic video playback. Xbox support includes Remote Play and Xbox Cloud Gaming library browsing and playback. PlayStation support includes local console discovery, pairing, wake-up, streaming, PSN sign-in, and remote PS5 streaming. The published quality profiles include 720p, 1080p, and 1080p HQ, while hardware-accelerated H.264 and PS5 HEVC decoding can support video handling on compatible setups. Stream recovery after returning from the HOME menu is also included.
Controller support is a notable part of LunarNX. Users can configure custom Xbox and PlayStation button mappings, while PlayStation forwarding includes the touchpad, motion controls, rumble, and DualSense haptics. The main trade-off is platform and setup scope: LunarNX requires a modified Nintendo Switch and does not run on unmodified retail consoles. It is a focused choice for Switch owners comfortable with homebrew who need Xbox and PlayStation access in one client; users seeking a product for standard consoles or broader client-platform coverage should choose another option.
