LiveViewGPS combines GPS tracking hardware with cloud software for vehicles, equipment, assets and personal tracking. Businesses, government agencies, law enforcement and families can monitor locations through a web dashboard, with optional iPhone and Android apps. Its emphasis is location visibility: live updates, route playback and alerts, rather than a broad fleet-operations suite. That makes it a fit for teams whose main needs are seeing where assets are and responding to location or vehicle events.

The published monthly service plans are priced per device. Flash Trac costs $14.95 and reports location every 60 seconds, with alerts, historical route reporting, unlimited use and no contracts. Live Trac with 10-second updates costs $29.95 and includes 90-day historical playback, geofencing, instant alerts, a web dashboard and mobile apps. The $39.95 Live Trac option provides 5-second updates with the same listed playback period and core features. Hardware is sold separately, so the service price is not the complete device cost. Live Trac history can extend up to 365 days on request.

Alerts cover geofence entry and exit, speed thresholds, route deviations, ignition, power loss, low battery, arrival and departure, idle, towing and tampering. Driver assignment and device grouping add basic organization, while REST API access and public-view map embedding offer ways to expose location data beyond the dashboard. Mapping includes Google satellite and Street View, Apple Maps on iOS, and Google Maps on Android. Choose LiveViewGPS if tracking and alerts are the priority and the per-device monthly structure fits. Teams seeking more than location-centered monitoring should compare it with broader fleet-management options.

  • Where it doesn't

    • Live Trac plans cost more for faster location updates.
    • Hardware is sold separately from the monthly service.
