Litematica is a client-side Minecraft mod for players who want to create, inspect, edit, and place schematic builds without leaving the game. It loads files from the Minecraft schematics directory, creates schematics from selected world areas, and provides tools for positioning, rotating, mirroring, and managing placements. The in-game workflow suits both single-player builders and players working on multiplayer servers, with placement and pasting behavior shaped by game mode and server conditions.

Its strongest distinction is the breadth of its in-game building workflow. Players can render selected schematic layers, edit schematic contents, use Easy Place mode to place blocks from a schematic, and paste schematics in Creative mode. Area tools also support cloning, moving, filling, and deleting sections of a world. This gives Litematica a wide scope that extends beyond simple file viewing or structure previewing, while keeping placement management central to the experience.

Litematica is free and open-source, and runs across Windows, macOS, and Linux as a desktop Minecraft mod. It supports Litematica .litematic, Sponge .schem, vanilla structure .nbt, and MCEdit/Schematica .schematic formats. The project integrates with MaLiLib and supports Fabric, LiteLoader, Rift, and Forge, although the required loader and available format behavior depend on the Minecraft version. Choose Litematica if your priority is detailed, in-game schematic construction and placement across supported mod platforms. A narrower schematic tool may suit players who do not need editing, world-area operations, or placement controls.
