Our verdict on Libero Mail
Libero Mail is a consumer email service from Italiaonline S.p.A., with webmail and mobile apps for Android, iPhone, iPad and Huawei devices. Its free accounts include 1 GB of mailbox storage, antivirus and antispam protection, and DriveMail file sharing for transfers up to 2 GB. That makes it a practical fit for people who want basic email and a way to share larger files without relying on standard attachments. Those who need custom-domain addresses can consider the separate Mail Personal product.
The paid Mail Plus plans primarily address advertising, aliases and storage. According to the vendor's pricing details, Mail Plus Zero costs €12.99 per year, removes advertising from webmail and the mobile app, and includes antispam aliases while retaining existing mailbox storage. Mail Plus 5 GB costs €24.99 per year and adds 5 GB of mailbox storage; Mail Plus 1 TB costs €59.99 per year and provides 1 TB. Both include ad-free access and aliases. The choice is therefore straightforward: pay for an ad-free experience, or choose a higher tier when more mailbox space is needed.
The key distinction for file sharing is between DriveMail, which supports transfers up to 2 GB, and ordinary outgoing messages, which are limited to 25 MB. Libero Drive is the listed integration, and access is available on web, iOS and Android. This service suits people who value a free mailbox and occasional large-file sharing, or who want a paid tier for ad removal and more storage. It is less suitable for someone who expects custom-domain email within the Mail Plus plans or needs standard messages to carry large attachments directly.
