Our verdict on Lerniyo Italian

Lerniyo Italian brings a CEFR A1–C1 course to Arabic- and Moroccan-Darija-speaking learners. Lessons cover listening, reading, writing, vocabulary and grammar, with explanations available in Arabic or Darija. Recorded speaking exercises and voice conversations with AI teacher Nour add spoken practice from the first lesson. The course is available on web, iOS and Android, and is aimed at independent learners who want a structured path through Italian rather than a standalone phrasebook or conversation tool.

Its strongest distinction is how it combines study modes: learners get instant AI correction on writing exercises, spaced-repetition vocabulary, speaking practice, mock exams and certificates for completing Lerniyo’s own curriculum. Daily progress and streak tracking provide a way to follow study activity. That mix suits learners who want practice across multiple skills in one course, especially those who benefit from grammar explanations in Arabic or Moroccan Darija.
