LegalTime is cloud software for Dutch law firms that combines legal time entry, invoicing, expense and disbursement lines, reporting, calendar synchronization and AML workflows. It supports timer-based, manual, weekly, mobile and calendar-assisted entry, with six-minute billing-unit enforcement for firms that need consistent time records. The product is positioned for small practices through organizations with 20 or more fee earners, and runs on web, iOS, Android and API access.

Pricing is organized by fee earner and billed monthly. Start costs €29 per fee earner per month and includes unlimited time tracking, a weekly view, mobile access, one invoice template, Outlook or Google Calendar sync and email support. Firm costs €39 and adds three invoice templates, Peppol e-invoicing, AI time tracking, AML client due diligence, conflict checking, reports, a director dashboard and phone support. Firm+ costs €49 and adds Power BI and Dataverse connections, SSO with Microsoft Entra or Google Workspace, custom reports, migration and dedicated customer success. The published pricing page also states that annual billing includes two months free.

Its strongest fit is for firms that want billing operations connected to their existing business systems rather than a narrow timer alone. Microsoft 365, Outlook, Google Workspace, Exact Online, Peppol, Power BI and Dataverse integrations support that broader workflow, while receivables, WIP and realization reporting add financial visibility. AI speech-to-entry suggestions can reduce the work of recording time, but each suggestion requires human confirmation. LegalTime is less suitable for organizations seeking a non-Dutch-focused product or a vendor claiming ISO 27001 or SOC 2 certification. Firms should choose it when compliant time capture, invoicing and reporting are the priority.

  • Where it doesn't
    • Its positioning is centered on Dutch law firms.
    • AI speech-to-entry suggestions require human confirmation.
    • The vendor does not claim ISO 27001 or SOC 2 certification.
