Law App is cloud-based legal practice management software for Australian law firms. It brings matter management, document generation, time recording, invoicing, general accounting, trust accounting, bank feeds, reconciliation, statutory reporting and AML client verification into one platform. Its strongest fit is firms that need structured statutory trust operations alongside everyday practice management, rather than a standalone online payment tool.

Pricing is quote-based, with three published structures. Fixed Monthly uses a flat monthly fee per user, includes no matter recovery and provides full access to all features. Mixed Approach combines a lower base fee with per-matter disbursements, offers partial cost recovery and also includes full access. Fully Recoverable charges per matter opened, has no per-user charges, and allows matter costs to be added to client invoices as disbursements. The choice is therefore tied to how a firm allocates software costs across users, matters and clients.

Trust workflows are the product’s clearest area of depth. Law App supports trust receipts, payments, transfers, reconciliation, statutory reporting, audit trails and bulk transfer requisitions, alongside a general ledger, bank feeds, BAS and financial reporting. Firms can also connect Microsoft Outlook, Word and OneDrive through Microsoft 365, while Australian hosting and Australian-based phone support align with its local focus. Choose Law App when statutory trust accounting and integrated practice operations are central requirements. Firms primarily seeking online card or ACH collection, payment portals or external legal billing integration should compare alternatives focused more narrowly on those payment capabilities.

  • Where it doesn't
    • Quote-based pricing provides no published recurring dollar amounts
    • External legal billing integration is not a stated strength
    • NSW Law Society certification is described as in progress
