Kraft Launcher review
A promising instance-focused launcher, but its early-stage status limits immediate use.

Kraft Launcher is an unofficial, open-source launcher for Minecraft Java Edition. It is aimed at players who want separate instance data, organized profiles, mod installation, Microsoft account switching, and imports from other launchers. Its planned feature set also suits users who share synchronized instances or manage several Minecraft configurations across Windows, macOS, and Linux. The project is not affiliated with Mojang or Microsoft.
Instance management is the clearest focus. Each instance can have separate data, while grouping and custom labels are intended to make larger collections easier to organize. The planned sharing and synchronization features give Kraft Launcher a distinct direction for users who coordinate instances with others. Modrinth and CurseForge integrations are also part of the design, alongside a built-in Java runtime installer and Microsoft account authentication. Import support for MultiMC and other launchers could further reduce the effort of moving existing configurations.
The main consideration is project maturity rather than feature breadth. Kraft Launcher is in an early stage, is not ready for general use, and most listed features are planned rather than implemented. The repository has no published releases, so users seeking an immediately dependable launcher should choose an established alternative instead. Kraft Launcher is better suited to readers interested in an open-source project centered on isolated, shareable instances and willing to follow its development. It is not the right choice for players who need a currently complete launcher with established release availability.
