Koust review
Koust connects recipe costing, stock, purchasing and POS data in one restaurant back office.

Koust brings restaurant purchasing, stock, sales and food-cost workflows together for independent restaurants and multi-site groups. Teams can calculate recipe costs, create technical recipe sheets, manage supplier orders and deliveries, scan invoices, and compare theoretical with actual stock or margins. POS connections feed sales data into the back office, while production planning and centralized reporting support operations across sites. It is a fit for restaurants that want connected stock and supplier processes; teams looking only for a narrow inventory tool may not need its broader scope.
Pricing is per site, with three tiers and a 14-day trial. Essentiel costs €80 per site per month with annual billing or €90 with monthly billing, and includes recipe sheets, inventory, variance tracking, a POS connection and 20 invoice scans monthly. Professionnel is €130 annually billed or €150 monthly, adding profitability analysis and reporting, menu engineering, production planning and 50 invoice scans monthly. Entreprise costs €180 with annual billing or €210 monthly; it adds AI sales forecasts, stock transfers, public API access, delivery-note/invoice matching and an accounting API. The per-site model matters for groups, and the entry price is an ongoing commitment rather than a free plan.
The platform spans web, Windows, macOS, iOS, Android and API, with integrations for point-of-sale software, Sage and Pennylane. That breadth can suit teams connecting restaurant operations with accounting and existing sales systems. Koust also offers phone, email, chat and documentation support. Its higher-tier features are the clearest reason to consider upgrading: multi-site reporting and stock transfers serve centralized operations, while forecast and API access sit in Entreprise. Restaurants that do not need supplier purchasing, invoice capture, recipe costing and stock control together may prefer a more focused alternative; groups with those workflows to coordinate are the stronger match.
