Our verdict on Kitar
Kitar is an Indonesian online store and shopping app for buying and selling secondhand phones, including iPhones and Android devices from Samsung, Oppo and Vivo. Buyers can browse listings that describe inspection and warranty coverage, while sellers submit device details for a price estimate and can arrange pickup. Its focused approach suits people shopping for or selling a used phone, rather than shoppers looking for a broad marketplace across product categories.
Inspection is central to the buying and selling process: technicians inspect phones, and sellers receive payment after inspection and agreement. Buyers can also use live shopping and split payments. Kitar names Kredivo, Akulaku, ShopeePayLater and QRIS among payment options; at the FX Sudirman store, the stated options also include e-wallets, bank transfer, installments and paylater. The online store says it ships throughout Indonesia with free delivery, while click-and-collect is described for FX Sudirman.
The app is free to download, but Kitar is a retail store and marketplace rather than subscription software. Eligible online purchases have a seven-day return policy, so buyers should check eligibility for a specific order. Kitar is a fit for people who value phone inspection, seller pickup or installment-style payment options within a phone-focused catalog. Those seeking a wider range of shopping categories should look to a broader marketplace instead.
