Kin by Kinfolk is a cloud AI IT service-desk agent for mid-market and enterprise IT teams. It answers employee questions in Slack, uses HRIS context for access grants and revocations, resets passwords, provisions accounts, and handles onboarding, offboarding, device wiping and other MDM actions. Its service desk can triage, categorize, prioritize and track SLAs while running workflows through connected systems. Approval gates and audit trails keep automation under IT oversight.

Pricing is quote-based through annual headcount tiers, and there is no free plan or self-serve trial. The Core plan includes multi-channel conversational AI, knowledge retrieval and HRIS lookups, Kinfolk’s service desk with AI triage and routing, a bidirectional Jira connection, agentic workflows excluding HRIS updates, and native approval flows. Plus adds HRIS write-backs and processes, onboarding and offboarding flows, multiple knowledge bases, other ticketing systems, and HRIS approvals with audit logs. Integrations include ADP Workforce Now, Bamboo, Cezanne, Confluence, Google Workspace services, HiBob, Humaans, Jira, Notion, Okta, OneDrive, Outlook and Paylocity; ticketing can also synchronize with ServiceNow.

Governance is a central strength. Kin supports scoped credentials, role-based permissions, field-level controls, approval gates, access reviews and full audit trails, alongside SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR and SSO/SAML support. These controls suit teams that need repeatable employee support without giving an agent unrestricted authority. Choose Kin for governed IT request automation tied to HR and ticketing systems. Organizations requiring self-hosted deployment, transparent self-service pricing or a free plan should look elsewhere.
