Keelway Carrier Onboarding is a web and API product for freight brokerages that need to verify inbound carriers before booking loads. It combines FMCSA authority, insurance, safety, out-of-service history, and crash-count checks with email-domain age and MC-DOT identity checks. Brokers receive a 0–100 carrier trust score with contributing reasons, and flagged carriers can move into a review queue. The product is aimed at teams where carrier-screening risk matters more than broad transportation management or document collection.
The broker base plan costs $799 per month and includes carrier vetting, FMCSA authority and insurance checks, an AI inbox, dispatch and invoicing, QuickBooks sync, and unlimited users. A 30-day free trial is available. The plan supports web and API access, with imports for carriers, customers, and loads through CSV or API. Integrations include Gmail, QuickBooks, FMCSA QCMobile API, and TMS platforms such as Tai, McLeod, Aljex, Revenova, Turvo, and Rose Rocket. That combination gives brokerages options for fitting verification into an existing operating stack.
Its clearest strength is the depth of its pre-booking risk workflow. Chameleon-carrier and double-broker pattern flagging, acceptance and pickup insurance rechecks, review and override logging, and permanent carrier records create a structured path from initial screening to decision history. Keelway is a strong fit for brokers prioritizing onboarding controls and documented triage. It is less suitable for teams seeking a full carrier portal or an end-to-end packet workflow, because W-9s, signed agreements, and certificates remain in the brokerage’s existing process. The monthly cost also makes it a more focused investment than a lightweight onboarding tool.
