KBPublisher is a knowledge base platform for sharing information with employees, customers, and partners. Its HR capabilities cover employee self-service, onboarding programs, personnel-document versioning, searchable articles and files, content approvals, role-based permissions, reporting, SSO, and multilingual configuration. It suits small and medium HR teams as well as larger organizations managing internal knowledge across web, API, or self-hosted environments.

Pricing gives teams several deployment paths. The Community Edition is free, open source, and self-hosted, with unlimited staff users, unlimited end users, and unlimited articles and files. Paid self-hosted options include 5 License Pack at $498 one-time, 10 License Pack at $898 one-time, 20 License Pack at $1,498 one-time, and 30 License Pack at $1,998 one-time; each includes a perpetual license plus one year of support and upgrades. The Unlimited Site License also provides a perpetual self-hosted license with unlimited staff and end users. Cloud Essential costs $33 per month when billed annually or $39 per month when billed monthly, with up to 5 staff users, unlimited end users and articles, 5 GB SSD storage, and a 99% uptime SLA.

The strongest fit is an HR team that needs governance without placing a fixed limit on published knowledge. Approval workflows support review before publication, while roles, privileges, security groups, private content access, SAML, LDAP, remote authentication, and version rollback support controlled internal documentation. Full-text search includes spell checking and Sphinx support, and reports cover usage, views, statistics, and user activity. HRIS and ATS connections are available through the HTTP API, while language packs support configurable application language. Teams that need cloud access for more than 5 staff users should assess the self-hosted editions or choose a different cloud arrangement.
