Justworks Benefits helps small and midsize U.S. organizations manage payroll, HR workflows, and employee benefits in one platform. For nonprofits, its fit is strongest where benefits administration is a central requirement: the product supports medical, dental, vision, HSA, FSA, dependent-care FSA, 401(k), COBRA, life, disability, commuter, reimbursement, and ICHRA-related administration. It also supports nonprofit tax needs, multi-state payroll, contractor payments, employer tax filings, and W-2/1099 filings.

The published plan structure covers four options. Payroll includes payroll for all employees, employer payroll tax filings, multi-state payroll, time-tracking access, and benefits as an add-on. PEO Basic adds compliance support, HR consulting and tools, 24/7 support, and 401(k). PEO Plus includes everything in PEO Basic, then adds medical, dental, and vision administration, HSA/FSA accounts, mental health benefits, and fertility benefits. EOR is designed for global hiring with global HR and compliance support. Eligible new Payroll customers may receive three months of free Payroll, but that promotion is not a permanent free plan.

Benefits deductions can connect with payroll, while new-hire enrollment and qualifying-life-event management support ongoing administration. Accounting software integrations and Accrue 401(k) support ecosystem connections. The main consideration is fit: benefits availability varies by location and carrier, and the platform is web-only. Nonprofits seeking a benefits-centered payroll and HR system should consider Justworks Benefits, particularly when multi-state payroll, tax filings, and employee coverage need to operate together. Organizations requiring broader platform access or benefits that must be available uniformly across locations may prefer an alternative.
