Jovo review
A controlled church communication platform with strong group messaging and oversight.

Jovo is a church communication platform for staff, volunteers, leaders, and small groups. It supports group messaging for teams, small groups, and whole organisations, with announcements, polls, audio, video, scheduled posts, events, and expiring groups. Leaders can control posting and membership permissions, while administrators oversee communication through an admin site. Members can access Jovo on the web, iOS, and Android. Its focus is controlled, visible communication without private messaging, making it suitable for churches and community organisations that need accountable group interaction.
Pricing is structured around monthly paid plans. Jovo Lite costs $69 per month and includes essential communication features, simple self-service setup, and ChurchSuite integration. The Jovo plan costs $110 per month and adds all features, live onboarding, priority support, and both ChurchSuite and Planning Center integrations. Jovo Plus for 1–499 users costs $519 per month, while Jovo Plus for 500–999 users costs $769 per month; both include all features. Jovo Plus Enterprise has custom pricing, a dedicated account manager, multi-location and unlimited users, tailored onboarding, and quarterly health checks. A 30-day free trial is available, but there is no permanent free plan.
The strongest fit is for organisations that want structured group communication rather than a general member database. Multi-Groups can distribute posts across several groups, and events attached to posts appear in an Events tab. Safeguarding logs and administrator oversight add governance controls, while ChurchSuite and Planning Center integrations help connect church administration workflows. Jovo should appeal to teams that value permissions, accountable communication, and mobile access. Organisations that primarily need attendance tracking or a dedicated member directory should choose a platform built around those functions instead.
