Jambo is a web-based flashcard app for students, language learners, tutors and teachers. It creates cards from prompts, pasted text, URLs and uploaded PDFs, then supports spaced-repetition review with visible intervals. Cram, exam and multiple-choice modes provide different ways to review, while learning statistics and progress tracking help learners follow their activity. Smartphone access is available through a web app that can be added to the home screen.

The plan structure covers individual study and teaching use. The Free plan includes spaced repetition, AI card generation, four study modes and no ads. Coffee adds 20,000 cards, 20 AI generations per day, image cards, DeepL-enhanced translation and ElevenLabs audio. Sushi raises the allowance to unlimited cards and 100 AI generations per day, and adds DeepL-enhanced translation, deep SRS statistics and Anki export. Classroom is designed for teaching, with 8 group classes, 10 one-to-one classes and Class Mode. A 14-day free trial is also listed.

Jambo’s ecosystem fit is a strong reason to consider it. Learners can import decks from Quizlet, Anki, Reverso and CSV, export to CSV, and use Anki export on Sushi. DeepL supports enhanced translation, while ElevenLabs provides audio playback. Translation into flashcards spans 30 languages, making the service particularly suitable for language study and multilingual material. Choose Jambo if you want several input formats, study modes, translation and deck portability in one service. It is less suitable if your workflow depends on native app-store applications, or if you need Anki export without the Sushi tier.
