Our verdict on ISL Journey
ISL Journey is a mobile learning app for Indian Sign Language, aimed at beginners and people learning ISL for personal, educational, or professional reasons. Its curriculum combines 20 learning modules with gamified lessons, a visual dictionary, practice quizzes, dialogues, grammar guidance, and Deaf awareness and culture tips. Android and iOS availability makes it suitable for learners who want to study on a phone or tablet rather than through a desktop course.
The freemium structure gives learners a free entry point, while Premium monthly and Premium yearly plans add extra learning material. This makes the product easy to approach before committing to a paid tier, although the practical difference between the two Premium billing options is duration rather than a stated difference in content. Buyers evaluating value should focus on how much of the curriculum is available in the free app and whether the additional material fits their learning goals.
ISL Journey’s strongest distinction is the breadth of its learning format within a focused language scope. It is not limited to dictionary lookup: the app connects lesson signs with quizzes, dialogues, grammar, cultural guidance, and AI-backed retention support. That combination can suit learners who want a guided path rather than isolated vocabulary practice. The planned autumn 2026 relaunch, with updated lessons and a new curriculum, also makes the product relevant to buyers considering its future learning structure. Choose ISL Journey for structured mobile ISL study with varied practice formats; consider an alternative if you need a different signed language or a narrowly focused reference tool.
