Our verdict on IPComms SIP Trunking
IPComms SIP Trunking connects business PBXs and session border controllers to the public telephone network over SIP. It is aimed at businesses, contact centers, and channel partners operating in the United States and Canada. The service supports usage-based inbound and outbound calling, local, toll-free, and international numbers, number porting, IP authentication or SIP registration, and web and API access. Security and calling controls include TLS SIP signaling, SRTP media encryption, E911 with dispatchable location, and STIR/SHAKEN call signing.
Pricing centers on the Free SIP Trunk plan, which has no trunk or channel fees and bills calling by the minute for both outbound and inbound use. Local numbers start at $1.50 per number per month, while the published plan includes encryption and does not state a concurrent channel limit. The portal adds call records, SIP traces, number management, and invoices. This structure suits deployments that prefer usage-based billing and want to avoid recurring trunk or channel charges, but phone numbers and call usage still create ongoing costs.
Platform fit is a central strength.
