Inworld TTS review
A highly steerable TTS API for long inputs, multilingual speech, and custom voices.

Inworld TTS is a developer-focused text-to-speech service for realtime voice applications, content creation, dubbing, and conversational interfaces. It supports web and API access, with synchronous and streaming generation through the Realtime TTS-2 and TTS-2 Flash models. The service is suited to teams that need expressive multilingual speech, programmable controls, custom voices, or downloadable audio rather than a basic text-to-audio tool. It supports 200+ languages, voice cloning from 5–15 seconds of audio, text-based voice design, natural-language steering, inline non-verbal cues, and input requests of up to 40,000 characters in the TTS Playground.
Pricing ranges from the free On-Demand plan to custom Enterprise pricing. On-Demand includes up to 70 minutes of TTS, 100 custom voices, realtime API access, voice cloning and voice design, and a commercial license. Creator costs $25 per month and adds $25 in monthly credits, up to 33% off TTS and STT rates, 500 custom voices, 40,000-character Playground requests, and workspace sharing. Builder costs $100 monthly, with $100 in credits, up to 40% off rates, 3,000 custom voices, and 50 concurrent requests. Developer is $300 monthly with $300 in credits, up to 47% off rates, 10,000 custom voices, professional voice cloning as an add-on, and priority email support. Growth costs $1,500 monthly and adds $1,500 in credits, up to 53% off rates, 30,000 custom voices, one professional voice clone, and higher API limits.
Its standout strength is control over generated speech. Speaking-rate and temperature settings, IPA pronunciation notation, character, word, phoneme, and viseme timestamps, plus audio streaming support production and interactive use cases. Downloads are available in MP3, WAV, PCM, LINEAR16, OGG_OPUS, μ-law, A-law, and FLAC. Enterprise adds SLA and DPA coverage, EU and India data residency, dedicated account management, and a Slack channel. Choose Inworld TTS for API-led, multilingual, highly directed speech workflows; choose an alternative if you need a simpler, lower-cost tool without developer-oriented controls or tiered usage management.
